3% Drop in Precast Concrete Consumption Through April, Reports Andece

The National Association of the Precast Concrete Industry (ANDECE) has released its latest consumption statistics up until April, showcasing distinct trends across the country. Certain regions stand out for their significant growth, with Aragon, the Valencian Community, and Navarra experiencing double-digit increases, indicating a boost in the use of precast concrete within these areas.

On the contrary, Extremadura has seen a noteworthy decline in consumption, a trend also noticed in Castilla-La Mancha, Castilla y León, and the Basque Country. Other regions like Andalusia, the Balearic Islands, Cantabria, and Galicia have not been immune to this decrease, showing a diversified market behavior in Spain.

Nationally, the consumption of precast concrete has fallen by 3% during the first four months of 2025 when compared to the same period the previous year. This downturn prompts the need for in-depth analyses of the dynamics affecting the sector.

In response to these shifts, ANDECE is organizing the ANDECE Forum 2025. The event aims to promote sustainable and prefab construction, starting with a session focused on building on September 23 at the Official College of Architects of Madrid. It will then turn its attention to civil works on September 24 at the Official College of Civil Engineers of Madrid. Entry is free, and those interested can find more information and register through ANDECE’s website.

ANDECE, which brings together the country’s leading precast concrete industry companies, represents over 70% of the industry’s business volume. These companies are committed to a continuous process of modernization and investment in advanced technology, ensuring their competitiveness in the market.
