Spain is grappling with a significant challenge in the housing sector, facing a shortfall of between 1.5 to 3 million affordable homes that could persist until 2030. In an effort to tackle this issue, companies Adequa and Visoren have strengthened their partnership to promote access to housing under more equitable conditions. Both companies are focused on promoting and managing protected and affordable rentals, especially in large cities where prices have surged alarmingly in recent years.
Visoren, a company with over two decades of experience in the sector, currently manages 21 projects which include a total of 1,300 operational homes, in addition to a student residence. It is also developing 1,500 additional units across various regions of the country. This represents an investment of approximately 300 million euros and covers a total area of 250,000 square meters.
Visoren’s strategy is centered around three key pillars: the promotion of new developments, the transformation of existing assets, and the optimization of real estate management. With this approach, the company aims to sustainably expand the supply of affordable rental housing, thereby meeting market needs.
On its part, Adequa has engaged in Visoren’s projects to strengthen its presence in the residential sector and contribute to the expansion of a diversified project portfolio. According to Josep Singla, a representative of Adequa, this collaboration also aims to improve efficiency in the management of infrastructures and associated services.
With a clear goal of achieving inclusive housing development, both companies advocate for public-private collaboration and for a legislative framework that provides security to sector operators. The partnership between Adequa and Visoren seeks not only to address Spain’s housing deficit but also to promote sustainable development and the creation of accessible communities throughout the country.
