Sustainable innovation in digital displays debuts at CES 2025

At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025, PocketBook International SA, in collaboration with E Ink and Sharp, unveiled the InkPoster™, the world’s first color ePaper digital display. This innovation signals the beginning of a new era for sustainable, energy-free displays for static images, presenting an eco-friendly alternative to traditional LCD screens.

The InkPoster™ merges technology and art, offering three models that utilize two display technologies: E Ink Spectra™ 6 and Sharp IGZO technology. These deliver a paper-like visual experience without emitting blue light or heat, using power only when the image changes. With a wireless design and a long-lasting battery that can last up to a year on a single charge, this device redefines sustainability in digital displays.

Key features include:
– E Ink Spectra™ 6: Technology that provides vibrant colors and sharp details without straining the eyes.
– Sharp IGZO: Enhances performance with faster image refresh rates.
– Zero energy consumption: Maintains static images without using energy.

“We’re thrilled to see how our technology drives such innovative products as InkPoster,” said Johnson Lee, CEO of E Ink.

The three models cater to various spaces:
– 31.5 inches: Ideal as a centerpiece in large interiors, resolution 2560 x 1440.
– 28.5 inches: A balance between size and functionality, resolution 2160 x 3060.
– 13.3 inches: Compact and versatile, designed for smaller spaces, resolution 1200 x 1600.

All models feature Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. The InkPoster app allows access to thousands of curated artworks and the option to personalize with personal photos.

InkPoster adapts well to homes and offices alike, transforming any space into a digital art gallery. Its design supports vertical or horizontal orientations, integrating seamlessly into individual setups or art walls. The 31.5 and 28.5-inch models boast up to a year of autonomy with a 20,000 mAh battery.

“InkPoster will redefine the future of digital art and sustainable information displays,” commented Katsuhiro Kawai, President of Sharp Display Technology Corporation.

Beyond its environmental impact, the launch of InkPoster at CES 2025 highlights how ePaper technology can blend beauty, functionality, and sustainability. Visit booth 21442 in the LVCC Central Hall from January 7 to 10 to discover more about this revolutionary product.
