Valmesa Introduces ‘Rehabilitate Valencia’ to Boost Recovery After the DANA Event

The recent impact of the Isolated Depression at High Levels (DANA) on the Valencia province has left behind a path of destruction across more than 70 municipalities, with thousands of homes severely affected and significant losses both human and economic. In this bleak scenario, the Valmesa Group has responded quickly and strategically by launching the REHABILITA VALENCIA Map. This innovative interactive tool is designed to identify damaged properties and estimate rehabilitation costs, thereby facilitating the recovery process in the hardest-hit areas.

The REHABILITA VALENCIA Map showcases advanced technology, integrating data from various sources, including land registry data, to provide a detailed overview of the damage caused. Users can access the system using the cadastral reference of their properties, which allows them to assess the level of damage to each property. To date, more than 71,000 properties with various degrees of damage have been detected across the province. Cities like Xirivella, Paiporta, Valencia itself, l’Alcúdia, Algemesí, and Picanya are among the most affected, each reporting thousands of impacted homes.

This map also facilitates an estimation of the repair costs necessary to restore the damaged properties. Through the analysis of variables such as the type of property, the covered area, and the height above street level, the tool provides essential approximate calculations for owners, insurers, financial institutions, and public administrations. According to Valmesa’s estimates, rehabilitation costs could exceed 2,420 million euros, affecting more than 125,000 properties.

Committed to solidarity and support for the community, the Valmesa Group has invested both technological and human resources in this initiative, contributing their bit in these critical moments for the region. Those interested in more details about the REHABILITA VALENCIA Map can access Valmesa’s website, where instructions on how to use and benefit from this innovative tool are provided.

It’s worth mentioning that the Valmesa Group, with more than 36 years in the Spanish market, is a prominent company in the valuation and appraisal of real estate. Its trajectory is marked by a constant commitment to excellence, innovation, and regulatory compliance, positioning it as a reference in various sectors.
