In this project, the Ruby tone of HIMACS brings a visual softness that captures all eyes and envelops the space in an almost fairy-tale atmosphere, inviting you to cook, share, and let your imagination soar.
Spacious and bright, this kitchen located in a home in the south of Darmstadt, Germany, captivates from the very beginning thanks to its characteristic color. The soft pink of the HIMACS Lucent collection combines with the warmth of spruce, bringing light and harmony to an open space that naturally connects the kitchen with the living room and dining room. The interplay between this delicate pink tone and the black and white accents reflects a clear commitment to a carefully designed color palette and materials, achieving a sophisticated and balanced environment. The Entedimension Einrichtungen studio, known for its creative proposals and excellent craftsmanship, has been responsible for developing and executing the entire project, including the living areas. To fulfill the owners’ desire for creating a warm and defined atmosphere, the selection of materials became an absolute priority.
Mario Könecke, the studio’s director, particularly highlights the incorporation of the HIMACS Solid Surface on the fronts, countertop, and kitchen bench, both for its impeccable aesthetics – without visible seams – and for its high level of hygiene. “The advanced technology that combines minerals and natural pigments is ideal for kitchens and bathrooms, and continues to be one of our clients’ preferred materials,” he affirms. These technical properties have allowed to approach the project from a functional and minimalist perspective. In fact, the lines of the countertop extend to become a custom-made bench for the dining area. This continuity has been possible thanks to the Solid Surface’s ability to be thermoformed in a single piece, without joints, which also facilitates the precise integration of elements such as the induction hob or a brass sink.
The attention to detail is also reflected in the selection of equipment and finishes. The faucet and handles, in a golden color, coordinate with the matte gold sockets, reinforcing the chromatic coherence of the space. The spruce wood cabinets, equipped with the Tip-On system, eliminate the need for handles, allowing the natural grain of the wood to express itself without interruptions. Recessed LED strips and adjustable lamps provide abundant and precise lighting, perfect for cooking with total comfort.
A Space Designed for Sharing and Enjoying
Bathed in natural light from both ends of the space, the kitchen and dining room merge into a cozy and functional space, where every inch has been carefully utilized. The 2.6-meter-long bench, also made of HIMACS, extends from the same countertop, creating a kitchen-dining connection and providing visual continuity, as well as a certain sculptural character to the ensemble. This is accompanied by a wooden table, decorated with a 3D botanical motif printed with UV, along with lacquered pink chairs and matching cushions.
Both areas are framed by wallpaper with a biophilic design of a winter forest, in white and black tones, enveloping the walls and increasing the sense of depth. In the area dedicated to cooking and food handling, right between the countertop and the wall cabinets, the wallpaper is protected by a glass backsplash. This dreamlike universe is complemented with elegant subtlety thanks to the milled details of the wall panels, made of spruce wood. This kitchen, which has completely won over its owners, demonstrates the power of creativity, combined with sensitivity in the use of color and impeccable execution. The result is a unique space where the bright depth of the Ruby tone of HIMACS envelops every corner with a delicate and memorable glow that accompanies daily life.
A Bold and Vibrant Bathroom
As in the kitchen of this home, color is also the main focus of the bathroom. The Entedimension Einrichtungen studio opts for the Banana tone from the HIMACS Solids collection in this room, a saturated and cheerful yellow that transforms the environment with a luminous and optimistic energy.
Used on the countertop, fronts, and wall cladding, the material creates a continuous surface that enhances the visual coherence of the room. In addition to the aesthetic value of HIMACS, its lack of porosity and visible joints provide total waterproofing, promote maximum cleanliness, and facilitate the daily cleaning of the space. Therefore, this material stands as a particularly suitable option for spaces like kitchens and bathrooms, where standards of hygiene, resistance, and durability are especially demanding.
