The awards ceremony took place on June 16 at the CaixaFòrum in Barcelona during the Nit de l’Emprenedoria 2025. PlastiK.O focuses on providing sustainable solutions for the reuse of plastic in biomedical environments. Through innovative alternatives that integrate science and technology, the project aims to minimize the environmental impact of plastic, thereby demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainability.

This recognition is part of a competition organized by the Fundació BCN Formació Professional, which aims to promote entrepreneurship among vocational training students as well as foster innovation and social recognition of this educational modality. The Nit de l’Emprenedoria awarded the best entrepreneurial projects from vocational training students in Barcelona and its metropolitan area. In this edition, more than 100 projects from 34 educational institutions were presented, involving over 260 students, highlighting the importance of supporting creativity and initiative in the educational field.
