Announcement of Windows 11 Preview Insider Build 22635.5305 in the Beta Channel.

Microsoft has released a new update for members of the Windows Insider program, specifically version 22635.5305 (KB5055636) in the Beta channel of Windows 11, corresponding to version 23H2. This update brings significant changes, especially the transition towards the future version 24H2, which will be available to all users on this channel soon.

Among the most prominent features is a new setting for profanity filtering during voice typing. This option allows users to decide whether they want inappropriate words to be replaced by asterisks or if they prefer them to be written uncensored. Users can access this setting by opening the voice typing tool with the Win + H key combination and selecting the settings icon.

Furthermore, several enhancements and fixes have been introduced in this version. For example, administrators can now allow users to unpin specific apps, ensuring that they will not be pinned again during the next policy update cycle.

Among other fixes, issues causing File Explorer to unexpectedly close when using the touch interface have been resolved, as well as failures in the Windows Spotlight functionality and the touch keyboard. However, some users still face problems, especially those using Xbox controllers via Bluetooth, which may result in system errors. Microsoft has provided a procedure to uninstall the problematic driver as a possible solution.

With this update, Microsoft reminds program members that improvements will soon be implemented in Windows 11, version 24H2, which has been offered as an optional update in the Beta channel. This change represents a milestone in the development of the operating system, as all future updates in the Beta channel will be based on this new version. Users who wish to receive the new features in advance can enable update registration in the Windows settings.
