Arrow Electronics and NX Technologies: Strategic Alliance for Electrification in Transportation

In an environment where the electrification of transportation has become a crucial aspect, NX Technologies has taken a significant step by establishing a partnership with Arrow Electronics. Mikel Peral, CEO and co-founder of the Spanish company, emphasized that their technology allows for the electrification of any type of vehicle, both light and heavy. This collaboration has helped accelerate the development of their range of inverters, a key component in the electrification process.

Since its founding in 2021, Arrow has provided NX Technologies with access to advanced components crucial for research and development. Thanks to this synergy, the company has been able to industrialize their range of inverters in less than three years, achieving performance and specifications that exceed industry standards. Arrow has not only supplied components, but has also contributed their engineering expertise, ensuring that NX’s products meet the most demanding automotive regulations.

Founded in 2020 and based in San Sebastián, NX Technologies specializes in essential components of the electric powertrain, such as inverters and battery management systems (BMS). The company has invested more than five million euros in research and development, focusing their efforts on electrification in various areas of mobility, including road, off-road, marine, and defense. Their range of inverters covers from 30 kW to 350 kW of power, recognized for their high power density and compliance with rigorous standards such as ISO26262.

A recent milestone in this collaboration was the introduction of NX Technologies’ new E8300 traction inverter at Electronica Munich 2024. This event, held last November, highlighted the importance of innovation in the sector, showcasing Arrow’s involvement in a dedicated space.

Peral stated that Arrow’s support has been crucial in achieving their goals and launching the new E series of inverters. “Their ability to offer agile development and access to the best components has allowed us to set new standards in power density and efficiency,” he remarked, adding that this contributes to solidifying their position in the sector and increasing production to meet growing global demand.

Both companies continue to work together to advance electrification, a vital push towards transitioning to more sustainable mobility solutions.
