Within the framework of Genera, the Alicante-based company Bornay has inaugurated a stand that has become a reference point for major energy and storage manufacturers both nationally and internationally. Over three days, professionals in the sector exchanged ideas and technologies, emphasizing collaboration as the key to leading the energy transition. Juan de Dios Bornay, CEO of the company, called on authorities to establish a “stable and brave regulatory framework” that allows Spanish companies to compete on equal terms and accelerate the energy transition by the year 2026.
Bornay’s stand reflects a strong commitment to advanced energies and addressed relevant topics such as mini wind power, self-consumption, storage, and intelligent energy management. Among the participants were prominent figures in the sector, such as Ruth Pérez de Azpeitia from BAE Batterien and Sergio Layunta from Salicru, who presented their proposals and technological advances in significant conferences.
During a meeting with the Valencian Association of Energy Sector Companies (AVAESEN), the agenda was reinforced to promote renewable energies and clean technologies, with special attention to wind, solar energy, and water cycle management. Layunta highlighted improvements in software monitoring aimed at optimizing the performance of energy facilities.
In another presentation, Juan Antonio Espada showcased the innovative Tesla Powerwall 3 batteries distributed by Bornay, while Mateo Egea presented the advantages of TBB Power’s Riio Sun inverters. In addition, Vicente Martínez, an engineer from Bornay, emphasized how wind turbines can offer energy solutions even in adverse weather conditions, citing examples in Antarctica and Chile.
As the event progressed, Massimo Cagnetti from Midac Batteries presented their innovations, and SMA highlighted new batteries and inverters that comply with future cybersecurity regulations.
On the other hand, Bornay celebrated an important milestone by commemorating its 55th anniversary, reaffirming its position as a leader in the wind energy sector after providing solutions in over 80 countries. Founded in 1970 with the goal of “bringing energy where there is none,” the company focuses on innovation and sustainability from its facilities in Castalla, where a production model prioritizing bioclimatic principles and the use of renewable energies is developed.
