Carolina Otero assumes the role of Chief Financial Officer at Allianz Seguros.

Allianz Seguros has finalized the appointment of Carolina Otero as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and member of the company’s Management Committee, a position she will assume starting April 1st. Otero succeeds Matthias Rubin-Schwarz, who has held this position for the last three years and will now take on new responsibilities within the Allianz Group.

Carolina Otero is a graduate actuary from the University of Buenos Aires and joined the Allianz Group in 2009. Since then, she has accumulated vast experience in various key positions within the organization. Her roles as Global Risk Director in Germany, as well as CEO and CFO in Allianz Argentina, stand out. Her career also includes a 12-year period at ING, where she held actuarial roles in Argentina, the Netherlands, and Chile.

Veit Stutz, CEO of Allianz Seguros, has expressed confidence in Otero’s choice, stating that her experience in the financial sector and strategic perspective will be crucial for the insurer’s continued growth. “We are convinced that her leadership will significantly contribute to strengthening our position in the market,” highlighted Stutz.

The CEO also thanked Matthias Rubin-Schwarz for his dedication during his tenure, expressing hope for his success in his new professional challenge. This change in financial direction underscores Allianz Seguros’ commitment to attracting outstanding talent, combining experience and diversity with a global vision.

With Otero’s addition, the Management Committee will be structured with Veit Stutz (CEO), alongside Carolina Otero (CFO), Ricard Ribas (COO), Carmen González (CSO), Victoria Medina (CTDO), Montse Álvarez (CTO), José María Maté (CUO Retail), Agustín de la Cuerda (CUO Commercial), Celso Fernández (CUO Life & Health), and Miguel Pérez Jaime (Key Account Manager for BBVA).
