Changan’s ‘Vast Ocean’ Plan: Driving a New Era in Global Service Leadership

In a context where service quality has become essential for competitiveness in the global arena, Changan Automobile has made a significant milestone on its path toward international leadership. On August 27 and 28, 2025, the company organized its first Global Skills Competition in Services in Bangkok, Thailand—an innovative event that brought together 45 experts from 19 countries. This event, the first of its kind for a Chinese automotive brand, focused on three key areas: a service competition, mechanical engine diagnostics, and electrical systems diagnostics for vehicles. The competition not only showcased the skills of Changan’s staff but also reinforced the company’s commitment to global talent development.

This competition is part of the “Vast Ocean Plan,” an ambitious strategic initiative aimed at accelerating Changan’s globalization. By strengthening talent and local integration, the company is establishing a robust service network abroad, designed to provide reliable, customer-centered experiences. Throughout the first seven months of 2025, Changan reported sales of 1,565,860 vehicles, representing an increase of 4.07% compared to the previous year. During this same period, the company sold 348,825 units in international markets, demonstrating a remarkable growth of 34.5% compared to 2024.

In 2024, Changan launched its user-oriented global brand, withU, and strengthened its Premium Service Experience abroad, focusing on more than 14,000 service points worldwide and various customer service centers. The company has been recognized for two consecutive years in the BrandZ Chinese Global Brand Builders ranking, further reinforcing its service model by integrating corporate standards that meet the specific needs of each market.
