Cione Reaffirms Its Commitment to the Portuguese Optical Sector as a Sponsor of the OPÓTICA Summit 2025

Cione Optics and Audiology has reaffirmed its commitment to the Portuguese market by participating as a main sponsor at the OPÓTICA Summit 2025, held in mid-May at the Holiday Inn Porto Gaia. This event, which is highly relevant for professionals and companies in the optical sector in Portugal, also celebrated the 20th anniversary of the specialized magazine ÓpticaPro, the organizer of the event.

During the day, Cione set up a booth where it showcased its successful cooperative model and launched its new capsule collection, Colorful. This line of frames, characterized by its optimistic style, caught the attention of attendees, becoming a focal point of interest.

With more than 170 associated optical shops and a growing customer base in Portugal, the cooperative continues to expand in the country. Sergio Silva, head of Cione in Portugal, emphasized the importance of sponsorship, highlighting that it has contributed to the development of the local optical sector and strengthened the cooperative’s presence in what he describes as a strategic market. “We have once again made clear our commitment to the Portuguese market,” concluded Silva.

The event brought together 22 speakers and offered an extensive training and reflection program, solidifying its position as an essential gathering for opticians in the country. In addition to its role as a sponsor, Cione was part of the jury for the ÓpticaPro 2025 Awards, where Silva had the opportunity to present two awards recognizing the professional excellence of Portuguese opticians in various categories.

Founded in Madrid in 1973 by independent opticians, Cione has established itself as a leader in visual and auditory health in Spain, achieving over 10% market share thanks to the dedication of its partners and its focus on innovation, as well as specialization in products and services.
