Hudisa: Awarded SME Award for Success in Internationalization

In an emotional ceremony held at IFEMA, Madrid, Antonio Tirado, president of Hudisa, received the National SME Award for Internationalization, an award that recognizes the outstanding export capacity and innovation of small and medium-sized businesses in Spain. Tirado noted that this distinction has a “profound meaning” for Hudisa, a cooperative model that brings together more than 1,000 farmers, becoming a benchmark in the European agri-food industry.

Hudisa, focused on the export of purees, concentrates, and frozen fruit, has managed to expand its presence to more than 30 countries on all five continents, establishing itself as one of the key companies in the global red fruit sector. The president emphasized that this award represents an “extraordinary boost” that will strengthen the company’s reputation, motivating its team of over 90 professionals.

The award also highlights the vital collaboration of shareholders such as Caja Rural del Sur and the Diputación de Huelva, whose support has been essential for Hudisa’s international growth since its creation in 2002. In a competitive environment, Tirado reaffirmed the company’s commitment as a strategic ally for farmers, guaranteeing fruit harvesting throughout the year at fair prices and with total transparency.

During his speech, Tirado announced an ambitious investment plan that will focus on improving production processes, implementing environmental investments to reduce water and carbon footprint, greater digitalization, and strengthening research, development, and innovation (R+ D + i) to adapt products to the new demands of the food and health sector. These initiatives aim to open new opportunities for farmers and consolidate the company’s production capacity, as well as strengthen the trust of its customers in the global market.

Tirado dedicated the recognition to all Hudisa employees, emphasizing the collective nature of the award and the cooperative essence of the company. “Hudisa is an example of how an agri-food company can be innovative, sustainable, and global without losing its roots,” he concluded. In this way, the company continues committed to its future vision, transforming high-quality red fruits with a solidarity and collaborative approach.
