The Official College of Commercial Agents of Seville recently hosted a master class given by Ignacio Campoy Aguilar, a renowned entrepreneur, consultant, and author. The conference, titled “The 8 Habits to Achieve Commercial Success,” was presented by the president of the College, Miguel Arrebola Medina, and attracted numerous members who participated both in person and through streaming platforms.
During his presentation, Campoy addressed the challenges that commercial agents face in a VUCA environment, characterized by volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity. The speaker offered practical strategies designed to improve professional performance and achieve sustainable results, emphasizing the importance of taking away actionable ideas for daily life.
The talk was organized around eight key habits, adapted to the realities of the commercial sector and based on Stephen Covey’s well-known “7 Habits of Highly Effective People.” Among these habits are:
1. Proactivity: the importance of anticipating customer needs.
2. Begin with the end in mind: defining clear goals and lasting relationships.
3. Put first things first: prioritizing significant tasks and managing time effectively.
4. Think win/win: seeking mutual benefits in negotiations.
5. Seek first to understand, then to be understood: practicing active listening to truly understand the customer.
6. Synergize: collaborating in teams to maximize results.
7. Sharpen the saw: investing in continuous training and personal well-being.
8. The eighth habit, metaleadership: a new leadership approach that inspires others to develop their own skills, a concept that Campoy has explored in his work “Metaleadership: The Path to Success.”
The initiative highlights the Official College of Commercial Agents’ commitment to the continuous training of its members, providing them access to thought leaders in the commercial field and effective tools to thrive in an increasingly competitive environment.
