Ignacio Campoy’s leadership in metalwork sneaks into the international conference of universities and business schools.

The International Congress of Universities and Business Schools held this September at the Rafael del Pino Foundation in Madrid has brought together leading experts from the country, Europe, the United States, Latin America, and Asia to discuss the keys to success in achieving leadership in 21st century education management.

Under the slogan “Connecting Universities and Business Schools with Innovation,” the forum has served as a framework for analyzing the challenges, opportunities, and challenges of innovation within the context of the fourth industrial and technological revolution. All this from the role that universities play today as agents of change and transformation of territories.

One of the aspects discussed at the event has been the need for universities and business schools to adopt a much more humanistic approach in their management to ensure future sustainability. This approach, defended precisely at the Congress by the CEO of the online academic training institution Formación Universitaria, and expert in leadership and management of business organizations, Ignacio Campoy, has been the focus of his keynote address during his keynote speech.

From the integrative approach of Metaliderazgo, on which Campoy has written his latest book, this expert has referred to the need to adopt a change in the management model in companies and organizations, since the current situation in the business ecosystem of our country “invites us to reconsider whether we actually need to assume a different way of leading, considering that one out of every four companies in Spain is in crisis and that challenging times are looming for business schools and universities.”

The Metaliderazgo defended by Campoy means assuming a superior leadership model, which integrates other types of leadership and suggests that the most effective or productive leaders are those who use the four universal personality behaviors, each in the right measure and at the right time. All behavior styles or dominances are vital and each has its strengths and weaknesses: dominant, stable, meticulous, and influential. In Campoy’s own words, “Leading is about integrating, and that means having an enormous capacity to adapt from the aforementioned leadership styles.”

The added value provided by Campoy’s innovative approach with his studies on Metaliderazgo has been precisely one of the most applauded contributions in these two days of conferences, panels, and presentation spaces where the role of universities and business schools as agents of change has been put on the table and where it is so necessary to debate about the future that is shaping up for these types of institutions.
