Increase in Concrete Prefabricated Works Until May, According to Andece.

Here’s the translation to American English:

Between January and May 2025, projects utilizing precast concrete have seen a remarkable increase of 37% compared to the same period last year, according to statistics released by ANDECE, the National Association of the Precast Concrete Industry. This rise represents a promising start for the sector, which had already recorded a growth of 34% from January to April.

The consolidation of precast concrete became evident during the recent General Assembly of the European federation BIBM, held in Brussels on June 11. At this meeting, Ignacio Brujó, the current president of ANDECE, was unanimously re-elected as vice president of BIBM for a new two-year term. BIBM is regarded as the voice of the precast concrete industry at the European level, providing a platform to address relevant issues in the sector.

Additionally, during the assembly, the BIBM Congress 2026 was announced, set to take place in Rome from May 20 to 22, 2026. This event is shaping up to be a key opportunity for knowledge and experience exchange among industry stakeholders globally.

ANDECE, which represents the most dynamic companies in the precast concrete industry in Spain, accounts for more than 70% of the sector’s business volume. The member companies have been at the forefront of modernization and the incorporation of cutting-edge machinery, reflecting their commitment to the development of Industrialized Construction and innovation within the sector.

This significant increase in the use of precast concrete not only indicates a revitalization of the construction sector but also highlights the fundamental role it plays in transforming construction practices in Spain and Europe.
