Konecta Inaugurates its New Headquarters in New Cairo with an Investment of Approximately 100 Million Dollars.

Konecta, a prominent global company in customer experience and digital services, has finalized a Memorandum of Understanding with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) in a ceremony attended by Egypt’s Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly. This agreement will lead to the opening of a new operations center in New Cairo, which will provide services to various markets in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and America.

The new headquarters will become a specialized center of excellence in generative artificial intelligence, drawing on knowledge acquired in Silicon Valley and Europe. Konecta plans to invest close to $100 million in the next three years, resulting in the creation of approximately 3,000 jobs in areas such as outsourcing, contact center services, technical support, cybersecurity, data analytics, and software development. This center will stand as the company’s first global center of excellence in GenAI, facilitating knowledge transfer and group experience.

The agreement includes a collaboration plan for specialized training with ITIDA and local universities, aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of the Egyptian workforce. This partnership is expected to boost the country’s information and communication technology sector exports to international markets.

Nourdine Bihmane, CEO of Konecta, highlighted the significance of this strategic alliance for the company’s growth in the region, emphasizing the potential of the Egyptian workforce to deliver innovative digital solutions. Ahmed El Harany, General Manager of Konecta for the Middle East and Africa, also stressed the competitive advantages of Egypt as an ideal location for the company’s operations.

Eng. Ahmed El Zaher, CEO of ITIDA, pointed out that this partnership represents a significant advancement in Egypt’s technology sector, reflecting the increasing interest of international companies in local talent and generating multiple job opportunities.

Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, affirmed Egypt’s competitiveness in the BPO sector and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to fostering a favorable environment for business and talent development. Konecta’s decision to expand its operations in Egypt will not only provide new job opportunities, but also contribute to the development of young talent in response to the growing demand for outsourcing services in Europe, the United States, and the Middle East.
