Legálitas Foundation Awards: Recognition for the RAE and TaxDown by the Minister of Justice.

The Legálitas Foundation celebrated its third edition of annual awards at an event that brought together prominent representatives from the legal and business sectors in Madrid. Under the presidency of Félix Bolaños García, Minister of the Presidency, Justice, and Relations with the Cortes, the awards ceremony took place at the Legálitas headquarters, recognizing the best initiatives in legal outreach and legal tech.

Among the winners, the Royal Spanish Academy received the award for ‘Best Legal Outreach Initiative,’ a recognition of more than 300 years of history in promoting the use of the Spanish language in the legal field. Clara Sánchez, a member of the RAE board, emphasized the importance of clear and accessible language in the justice system, noting that it is essential for the proper use and understanding of legal rules and procedures.

The platform TaxDown, focused on simplifying tax processes, was awarded ‘Best Legal Tech Business Initiative.’ Its CEO, Álvaro Falcones, expressed gratitude for the recognition of their efforts to transform the sector, highlighting the importance of relieving citizens from the stress caused by bureaucracy.

Minister Bolaños closed the event by reminding attendees that the goal of the Ministry of Justice is to advance toward digital and accessible justice, underscoring the technological evolution that has led Spain to be recognized as one of the most advanced administrations in this area.

Luis del Pozo, CEO of Legálitas, emphasized the need to educate citizens about their rights so they can make informed decisions, while Rafael Catalá, president of the foundation, highlighted their commitment to promoting preventive legal advice and access to justice through new technologies. The ceremony reflected the commitment of various institutions and initiatives to advance toward a legal system that is clearer and more accessible for all.
