The II Madrid Furniture Week will be held from February 3 to 6, 2027, as part of Intergift, one of the most prominent events in the habitat sector in Spain. This initiative, presented by the Association of Entrepreneurs of Habitat Stores in Madrid (Habitat Madrid), aims to strengthen the sector’s role as an economic engine in the region and promote habitat culture among consumers.
The event is supported by various institutions, including the Community of Madrid, the City Council of Madrid, and those of Arganda and Las Rozas, as well as IFEMA Madrid and the Official Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Madrid. Marta Nieto, General Director of Commerce, Consumption and Services of the Community of Madrid, noted that the first edition marked a “turning point” for the sector, creating a space where stores, manufacturers, and institutions could showcase the diversity and quality of the furniture industry in the region.
One of the achievements of the first edition was the creation of a digital map of furniture in the Community of Madrid. This resource continues to expand and is available on a dedicated website, where you can access a directory of stores, offers, and a gallery of images from the event.
Under the slogan “Your story starts here,” the second edition will connect the home with cinema, highlighting the fundamental role that furniture plays in the personal narratives of each home. Jesús Clemente, president of Habitat Madrid, stressed that each piece of furniture constitutes the first chapter of a family story. The program includes cultural interventions and special activations to attract the public to participating stores.
With the inclusion of new institutional actors, the metropolitan and commercial scope of the project is strengthened. Marta Nieto commented that the Furniture Week highlights the power of a sector that combines tradition and innovation, as well as a vibrant and continuously expanding local commerce.
Clemente added that this edition represents a collective effort to position Madrid as a benchmark in design and quality. Alberto Escribano, Mayor of Arganda del Rey, highlighted the importance of this initiative to enhance the local productive fabric, as Arganda has a long tradition in the furniture industry.
With the aim of consolidating Madrid as a key point in the design and marketing of furniture and decorations, the II Furniture Week seeks to establish a diverse and competitive business ecosystem. Julia González Romo, director of Intergift, concluded by highlighting the event as a natural meeting point for the sector, providing content and visibility to professionals and consumers alike.
