Lefebvre Sarrut, recognized for its leadership in the field of legal and tax knowledge in Europe, has transformed into the Lefebvre Group, a change that symbolizes a new stage for the organization. This rebranding goes beyond a simple name change, as it includes innovations in its governance and the appointment of a new European CEO, decisions aimed at strengthening its growth and the dissemination of advanced artificial intelligence (AI) solutions on the continent.
The mission of the Lefebvre Group is to provide access to valuable legal content for legal and finance professionals. With a staff of 2,500 employees throughout Europe, the group reported a turnover of 555 million euros in 2023. The new brand strategy will be implemented in the eight local entities that make up its network, covering countries such as Spain, Germany, Belgium, France, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. In the case of Spain, the denomination Lefebvre will continue to be used, while the other subsidiaries will gradually adopt the new brand.
This identity transformation reflects a renewed vision, with the aim of consolidating the group’s role as a facilitator of legal access in Europe. It also reaffirms its ambition to be a reference in services for legal and financial professionals, while promoting artificial intelligence that respects European sovereignty in legal and tax areas. GenIA-L, the group’s generative AI, has been adopted by 30,000 professionals in Europe, becoming an essential tool for these sectors.
A significant aspect of this transformation is the decision to join the European Union’s AI Pact initiative, highlighting the group’s commitment to the development of ethical AI. In contrast to other market players focusing on technology, the Lefebvre Group prioritizes a content-based approach enriched by the legal knowledge of its editorial team and collaborators.
Governance is undergoing significant changes; the Supervisory Board will be replaced by a Board of Directors focused on the development of GenIA-L at the European level. José Ángel Sandín, current CEO of Lefebvre in Spain, has highlighted high expectations for this new phase of transformation, emphasizing artificial intelligence as a fundamental pillar of its strategy.
Additionally, the appointment of Julien Tanguy as CEO of the European group, effective March 31, 2025, marks an important milestone in this restructuring. Tanguy will assume command after a transition period, thus concluding the successful management of Olivier Campenon, who has led the group’s restructuring since 2018 and integrated AI into its strategy.
Benoit Sillard, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, emphasized the importance of this governance reform, considering it an exceptional opportunity to position the group as a European leader in emerging technologies in compliance with European regulations.
