Pedro Sánchez Visits Veltium: An Example of Opportunities in the energy transition for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)

Pedro Sánchez has traveled to Vitoria-Gasteiz to visit the company VELTIUM, an SME that stands out as an example of the opportunities generated by the energy transition for small and medium-sized companies. This visit is part of the agenda of the Spanish government, which is committed to green reindustrialization and sustainable mobility.

Accompanied by the Government Delegate in the Basque Country, María Soledad Garmendia, the President of the Executive toured VELTIUM’s facilities. During the visit, Sánchez learned in detail about the recharging systems developed by the company, a clear demonstration of the innovative capacity of the national industry. VELTIUM actively participates in the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR), having received more than 1.1 million euros for three projects within the Strategic Project for the Development of the Electric and Connected Vehicle (PERTE VEC I) and the MOVES Singular II program.

VELTIUM, a specialist in the development, manufacturing, and marketing of recharging solutions for electric vehicles, has extensive experience in the electric mobility sector. This specialization reaffirms the Spanish government’s commitment to decarbonizing the economy and promoting sustainable mobility.

Sánchez’s visit to VELTIUM emphasizes the importance of SMEs in the energy transition and highlights the government’s efforts to support innovation and sustainability in the Spanish industrial sector. According to the Spanish government’s Recovery Plan, these types of initiatives are essential for job creation and economic development in regions like the Basque Country.
