Among the key updates is the improvement of country and mobile operator settings, where profiles for certain carriers have been reviewed. Additionally, a problem related to device management has been resolved, which could prevent the additional storage policy from correctly blocking external devices like USB drives.
Another significant improvement is found in the Family Safety feature, which now includes an approval system when attempting to open blocked apps, thereby strengthening protection for younger users.
File Explorer has also received important updates, resolving bugs that limited its functionality and affected performance when synchronizing with SharePoint. Accessibility issues for files on shared resources and the Resilient File System (ReFS) have been addressed, where enabling both deduplication and compression at the same time could lead to system hangs.
Moreover, enhancements have been made to text input, particularly regarding the representation of Unicode characters. Less common Chinese language symbols, which previously displayed as blank spaces, are now shown correctly. Certain issues with the input method editor for that language have also been fixed.
As for the Narrator feature, adjustments have been made to allow for accurate reading of names in facial recognition settings, and issues with Wi-Fi auto-reconnection after group policy updates have been resolved. Previous problems with detecting connected cameras in Remote Desktop have also been fixed.
Finally, Windows Backup for Organizations has been introduced, now generally available. This tool aims to facilitate device transitions in business environments, ensuring continuity and more efficient disaster recovery.
With this update, Microsoft reaffirms its commitment to improving user experience, delivering a more robust and efficient operating system.
