Samsun and Art Basel Launch the Largest Collection in the Art Store

Samsung Electronics has unveiled the Art Basel in Basel (ABB) Collection, an exclusive digital art curation available to all users of Samsung Art TV through the Samsung Art Store. This collection marks the broadest collaboration between Samsung and Art Basel, featuring a total of 38 selected works from renowned international artists and galleries, and aims to make contemporary art more accessible to the public.

The collection is notable for its focus on diversity, showcasing works from different continents and styles, and including the first representation of a gallery based in Africa, reaffirming both entities’ commitment to enriching cultural offerings globally. Some pieces from this collection will be exhibited at the Art Basel fair, taking place from June 19 to 22 at Messe Basel, Switzerland.

The 38 works in the ABB Collection were selected from over a hundred proposals, prioritizing artistic and geographical diversity. Notable pieces include “Young Woman with Peonies after Frédéric Bazille” by Roméo Mivekannin, a reinterpretation of a classic painting from a postcolonial perspective, and “An Intergalactic Messenger Teleported Us to a Cave Settlement Ruled by Shared Compassion and Humility” by Basim Magdy, which presents a vibrant utopian future.

Additionally, Samsung will introduce an interactive space called ArtCube at Art Basel. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience firsthand how smart TVs, such as The Frame and Neo QLED, are redefining the digital art experience. This space will also offer the chance to participate in the creation of personalized portraits of moving artwork through specialized curation, along with panel discussions on the intersection of art and technology.

The partnership between Samsung and Art Basel has been growing since its inception in 2024 with Art Basel Miami Beach, now extending to the 2025 fair in Hong Kong and the current exhibition in Basel. This collaboration reflects a shared vision to expand the use of screens as vibrant platforms for art and artistic dialogue.

Users can access a variety of over 3,500 works of art in the Samsung Art Store, allowing them to transform their TVs into personalized art galleries, thus enhancing their home decor. The Art Basel in Basel Collection is now exclusively available in the Samsung Art Store for all Samsung Art TV users.
