Samsung Electronics has announced a collaboration with the renowned British design house Liberty to offer an exclusive collection that includes the brand’s most iconic designs through the Samsung Art Store. This partnership will allow Samsung Art TV users worldwide to enjoy 20 new designs pulled from Liberty’s extensive archive of art and patterns, all from the comfort of their homes.
The collaboration merges the elegance of Samsung Art TVs with Liberty’s world-renowned archive, transforming these designs into digital works of art for the first time. Samsung’s curators worked closely with the Liberty team to select patterns that exceptionally fit a large-format digital screen, emphasizing details, light, and color.
Rachael Roberts, partnerships manager at Samsung UK, noted that this collaboration stems from a shared desire to celebrate British design in innovative ways. She stated that there are no other British design houses represented in the Samsung Art Store, making this alliance a unique opportunity to bring Liberty’s voice to a global audience.
Founded in 1875, Liberty has symbolized British creativity and craftsmanship, renowned for its distinctive prints and legacy of innovation in design. The collection features the “Artemis” design, which offers a botanical interpretation of a classic Liberty design and encompasses over a century of creative heritage, including iconic patterns like “Enchanted Wood” and “Jungle Trip.”
Pere Bruach, design manager at Liberty, explained that they have always believed in a design that tells stories and evolves. The collaboration with Samsung allowed them to reimagine their most iconic prints as living art, giving them a new dimension. Creations that were traditionally on silk and paper now reinterpret the spirit of Liberty, bringing the timeless beauty of their patterns and prints into people’s everyday spaces.
Among the 20 featured designs are “Artemis,” “Marina’s Tea Garden,” “Fantasy Land,” and “My Grown Up Star,” all belonging to Liberty’s Autumn/Winter 2025 collection. Each design is presented as a digital work of art adapted for the Samsung Art Store, adding character, history, and a touch of British charm to homes.
Roberts emphasized that Liberty’s narrative legacy makes them an ideal partner, asserting that their vision for the Art Store has always been to make art and design accessible and meaningful. Liberty’s prints achieve this by providing joy and a sense of belonging in people’s everyday lives.
This new collaboration reaffirms the mission of the Samsung Art Store to democratize access to global art, adding to its growing archive of over 3,500 works from the world’s most prestigious museums and art institutions. With the addition of Liberty’s British classics, a new chapter is opened where print heritage meets innovation.
