Samsung Electronics has today unveiled its new series of Galaxy S25 smartphones, which includes the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 models. This release marks a significant advancement in the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in mobile experiences, promising more natural and contextual interactions than ever before.
Equipped with the Snapdragon® 8 Elite Mobile Platform chipset, specifically designed for Galaxy devices, these phones offer enhanced processing and exceptional photography performance thanks to Samsung’s new ProVisual Engine. TM Roh, president and head of the company’s mobile experience division, emphasized the importance of AI evolution in creating seamless and effortless interactions between users and their devices, all while safeguarding privacy.
The Galaxy S25 series heralds the beginning of an AI-powered operating system that will transform everyday technology use. With the introduction of One UI 7, Samsung aims to provide a truly personalized mobile experience. New multimodal AI agents can interpret text, voice, images, and videos, facilitating intuitive interactions. One of the standout features is the “Circle to Search” function, allowing users to search for relevant information on the screen by tapping a specific element. Additionally, actionable searches with contextual suggestions are now possible, enhancing productivity and efficiency when switching between applications.
Another advancement is the ability to understand natural language, enabling users to search for specific photos in their gallery or adjust display settings simply using their voice. Activating the AI assistant, named Gemini, allows for executing commands across multiple applications, promoting a smooth and efficient user experience.
Personalization is another key focus in the S25 series, incorporating a personal data engine that securely analyzes user information on the device to create tailored experiences based on their preferences. Samsung has assured that this level of personalization does not compromise privacy, backed by the Knox Vault system.
In terms of performance, the Galaxy S25 stands out for its Snapdragon® 8 Elite chip, offering significant improvements in AI processing and advanced photography capabilities, including a 50 MP ultra-wide sensor and 10-bit HDR recording. The series ensures high-quality images and enhanced video processing, enabling clear video recording even in low-light conditions.
The design also reflects a commitment to sustainability, as all external components of the Galaxy S25 and S25+ include at least one recycled material. For the first time, the devices feature batteries made with recycled cobalt. Additionally, the S25 Ultra uses titanium and Gorilla® Armor 2, a material that provides protection against drops and scratches.
With this new series, Samsung reaffirms its position as a leader in technological innovation, offering devices that not only meet the current needs of users but are also designed for the future. The new models will be available for pre-order in the market on a yet-to-be-announced date, and will come in a variety of colors to suit different styles.
