South Korea showcases its charming tourist attractions at FITUR 2025.

With over 5,000 years of history and a modern culture that has captured the world thanks to the Korean wave, South Korea presents itself as an attractive and safe tourist destination for international travelers. In the context of the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) held in Madrid, the Korean stand, located in section 6D09, offers attendees an immersive experience that allows them to discover the multiple facets of the Asian country.

Visitors to the stand have the opportunity to participate in various interactive activities, such as a game of image matching that illustrates the main tourist attractions of Korea. Additionally, personalized information is provided to help travelers plan their visit. Representatives from different regions, such as Jeonju, known for its traditional architecture and iconic dish, Bibimbap, and Gyeongsangbukdo Province, which houses important heritage cities like Andong and Gyeongju, can also be found in this space.

The stand also stands out for its focus on Korean pop culture, featuring a fun game inspired by the successful series “Squid Game,” along with activities related to Taekwondo, a martial art that represents a part of the country’s cultural identity. Each day, attendees can enjoy training sessions and live demonstrations by Taekwondo professionals, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. Additionally, those interested in a creative experience can participate in workshops for bracelet making and fan decoration using the Korean alphabet, known as Hangeul.

Beyond the activities at FITUR, South Korea is already preparing to present highlighted events in 2025 that will attract tourists from around the world. These events include the Korea Grand Sale 2025, which combines shopping and cultural activities, the Beyond K-Festa, an immersive event dedicated to Hallyu scheduled for June, as well as the Korea Beauty Festival, focused on the cosmetic industry, and the Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival, one of the country’s most iconic music festivals. For those interested in traditions, festivals like the Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival and the Hwacheon Sancheoneo Ice Festival offer a glimpse into Korean customs.

South Korea is home to 15 UNESCO World Heritage sites, including palaces, temples, fortresses, and traditional villages, reflecting a rich historical heritage alongside a vibrant culture and spectacular nature. Additionally, as the birthplace of Taekwondo, the country promises unforgettable experiences for enthusiasts of this martial art in locations like Kukkiwon in Seoul and Taekwondowon in Muju, where they can also practice and attend international competitions in top-notch facilities.
