Supercube: The Sevillian Fitness Startup Starting its Series A Funding Round.

Supercubo, an innovative Seville-based startup, has taken a significant step on its path to consolidation in the fitness sector by announcing the launch of its Series A investment round. This initiative aims to strengthen its business model, increase production capacity, and accelerate its geographic expansion. The company had already shown its potential by raising €80,000 during its pre-seed round, attracting a select group of investors known as Business Angels with experience in areas such as sports, technology, and real estate.

Notable investors supporting Supercubo include Marcos Ybarra, director of Citysightseeing and co-founder of various companies, as well as Jaime Ventura, founding partner at Austral Venture. Furthermore, Enrique Sánchez, a well-known entrepreneur in the sports and e-commerce sector, and Jamie de Graaff, a real estate investor and developer from the Netherlands, have joined this project. Ignacio López, one of the co-founders of Supercubo, brings his experience in renewable energies and sustainable infrastructure to the team.

The Seville-based startup has also secured €67,000 in public funding through Enisa, in the Young Entrepreneurs line, which reinforces its image as an innovative company within the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Spain. This institutional support highlights confidence in Supercubo’s proposed business model.

The company’s proposal focuses on converting shipping containers into self-sufficient gyms, allowing individuals to manage their own modular gym. This model is accessible due to a low initial investment and a fixed monthly fee that eliminates the need for construction work, making it easy to install in both public and private spaces.

Jorge Vega, CEO of Supercubo, has expressed the company’s mission, stating: “Our mission is to democratize access to entrepreneurship in the sports sector, removing barriers to entry and exit, and offering a sustainable, profitable, and risk-free alternative.” With several units already operational in different locations, Supercubo positions itself as one of the most innovative and accessible proposals in the fitness sector, while providing sustainable solutions for outdoor training and promoting self-employment in the sports field.
