The Boira sofa, created by Carlos Guijarro for the Musola firm, has been chosen by ADI-FAD in the 43rd edition of the Delta Awards in the outdoor furniture category, positioning itself among the most outstanding proposals in current industrial design.
These awards, organized by the Industrial Design Association of FAD, are one of the most important references in the sector in Spain. In this edition, 422 projects have been presented, of which 203 have been selected to be part of the official exhibition, which will open on July 22 at the Disseny Hub Barcelona, coinciding with the award ceremony.
In this context, Boira stands out for its current vision of outdoor furniture. Designed as a modular system, the sofa combines soft and enveloping shapes with resistant materials such as iroko wood and technical fabrics, achieving a balance between comfort, durability, and aesthetic lightness.
The collection has recently evolved by incorporating new configurations and a version with a metal structure, thus adapting to current demands for versatility in outdoor spaces, both in residential and contract settings. Its design enables flexible and organic compositions, reinforcing the relationship between architecture, environment, and use.
With this selection, Boira consolidates its position as a prominent proposal in contemporary design, in line with the values recognized by the Delta Awards: innovation, quality, and contribution to the design culture.
