The FGCSIC presents the IV edition of ComFuturo to attract scientific talent in aging and digitalization.

Here’s the translation to American English:

The General CSIC Foundation (FGCSIC) has launched the ComFuturo iAGE call for proposals, now in its fourth edition, aimed at attracting international scientific talent. This program offers ten three-year postdoctoral contracts for young researchers who wish to develop innovative projects focused on population aging and digitalization.

This effort falls under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie COFUND Actions of the European Commission, giving the program an international and highly competitive character. The recipients will conduct their research at the institutes of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), the main public research organization in Spain.

The call is open to researchers of any nationality who meet the established mobility requirements. Selected participants will have the opportunity to work in a high-quality scientific environment, with access to modern infrastructure and an extensive network of collaboration between the public and private sectors. In addition to funding, winners will receive training in transversal skills, such as knowledge transfer and entrepreneurship, and may even undertake placements in non-academic settings, thus enhancing their professional profiles.

Population aging has become one of the major challenges of the 21st century, and integrating digitalization into areas such as health and the economy is considered essential for transforming this challenge into opportunities. ComFuturo iAGE aims to promote projects that combine advanced science with technology, generating a positive impact on society.

This program is supported by FGCSIC and CSIC, in collaboration with the European Commission and various private entities, which strengthens its sustainability and focus on knowledge transfer. Since its creation in 2014, ComFuturo has enabled 46 researchers to develop innovative projects at CSIC centers, establishing itself as a benchmark in the convergence of science, society, and industry.

The call for applications for these grants is open until January 9, 2026, and all necessary information is available on the FGCSIC website.
