A recent 2024 Satisfaction Survey conducted by Cloudworks has revealed significant insights into the preferences and needs of professionals using coworking spaces. In an increasingly hybrid work environment, the study highlights the importance of working in settings that promote corporate culture and a sense of community, with 87% of respondents highlighting these aspects as fundamental.
Since hybrid work became the norm in 2020, some multinational corporations have begun to seek a greater physical presence in their offices. Companies like Amazon, Google, and IBM are strengthening their corporate culture and fostering collaboration among teams. However, the Cloudworks Satisfaction Survey indicates that more than half of professionals (55%) believe their performance is better in a hybrid environment than in a fully on-site one.
The study also highlights that users value not only infrastructure and internet connectivity but also the human element in their workspaces. A significant 76% of respondents consider sustainability to be an important aspect, suggesting a general preference for environments that demonstrate a commitment to responsible practices, such as Cloudworks, which holds B Corp certification.
Marta Gràcia, CEO of Cloudworks, states that “the transformation of work goes beyond offering flexibility; it’s about building environments that inspire and connect.” This vision is also reflected in the choice of days to work in the office, where nearly 80% of respondents prefer the middle of the week, while only 10% would be willing to follow a work schedule of 4 to 5 days on-site.
The survey also reveals a decrease in the use of coworking spaces three days a week, which has dropped from over 80% in 2021 to around 70% in 2024, indicating a shift towards more flexible usage. These changes reflect a constant search for balance between productivity and personal well-being.
Lastly, Cloudworks has received a high level of satisfaction from its users, with 94.5% positive ratings regarding its services. The most valued aspects of the space include its location, design, and the opportunity to be part of an active professional community. Overall, these findings suggest a profound shift in the conception of work, increasingly oriented towards emotional and professional connections among individuals.
