The National Prado Museum has seen a significant increase in visitor attendance during the year 2024, reaching a total of 3,987,893 people. Of this total, 3,457,057 visitors have had the opportunity to explore both the permanent collection in the iconic Villanueva building and the temporary exhibitions in the Jerónimos building. Additionally, 530,836 people have experienced the museum’s collections in various locations, both in Spain and abroad, where the Prado has expanded its presence.

At the same time, the museum has increased its digital activity, achieving a stronger connection with its audience through social media. Currently, the Prado has more than 4.5 million followers, representing an increase of over 13% compared to the previous year. This growth in digital interaction has allowed the museum to bring its valuable cultural offerings to a wider and more diverse audience.

Among the most successful content of the year on the museum’s digital platforms is a video starring the renowned actress Ana Belén, who welcomed the new year. This video has accumulated over 2.8 million views in total. On platform X, it has received 1.5 million views, 14 thousand likes, 870 comments, and 7 thousand retweets. On Instagram, its impact has been equally remarkable, reaching 1.3 million views, 42.5 thousand likes, and 2,280 comments, thus demonstrating the significant resonance of this initiative on social media.
