Voltfer, the division of the Alvariño Group dedicated to renewable energies and energy efficiency, has formalized a strategic alliance with TCL SunPower Global, a company known for its advanced solutions in solar energy. This agreement positions Voltfer as SunPower’s exclusive partner in the Northwest of Spain, reaffirming its leadership in the region’s energy sector.
The collaboration will focus on the installation of high-end SunPower photovoltaic modules in the facilities of Galician companies and industries. José María Fariña, director of Voltfer, highlighted that the implementation of these panels will increase both efficiency and reliability in self-consumption systems. With this approach, the goal is to maximize energy generation on rooftops where space for expansion is often lacking.
Fariña also emphasized the importance of electricity in the operational costs of industries. With high energy demand, reducing dependence on external sources and managing price fluctuations become critical. According to the director, the adoption of solar installations will not only benefit the competitiveness of companies in Galicia, but can also be implemented without requiring initial investment through power purchase agreements (PPAs), an option that Voltfer offers to its clients.
José Manuel Fernández Alvariño, president of the Alvariño Group, highlighted the significance of this agreement as a manifestation of Voltfer’s commitment to quality and excellence. To date, they have installed over 30,000 solar modules with a total capacity of 15 MW, covering various sectors in Galicia.
Voltfer has established itself as a reference in energy solutions, offering customized photovoltaic installations from design to commissioning. Meanwhile, TCL SunPower Global stands out not only for its international support, but also for its focus on innovation and sustainability in the solar sector, contributing to the global energy transition.
