Windows 11 Build 26100.3613 Release in Preview Channel

The Windows Insider program users have received a pleasant surprise, as Microsoft has released a new update for Windows 11, corresponding to Build 26100.3613 (KB5053656). This improvement is aimed at participants in the Release Preview channel and introduces a variety of features and enhancements that seek to optimize the operating system experience.

One of the most important new features is the implementation of Live Captions, a function aimed at improving communication on Copilot+ devices that use AMD and Intel processors. This tool offers the ability to translate more than 44 languages into English in real-time during video calls, recordings, and streaming content. Additionally, users of Copilot+ devices equipped with Snapdragon processors will be able to translate text into simplified Chinese also in real-time.

The update also brings improvements to the system settings. Soon, a new settings homepage specifically designed for business users will be enabled, displaying relevant cards such as “Recommended settings” and personalized accessibility preferences. Users will be able to quickly view key PC information, such as the processor and RAM.

Regarding voice access, an enhancement is introduced that will allow users to use natural language commands to interact with the system. This capability, initially available for Snapdragon devices, includes support for Chinese, making navigation and command dictation in this language easier.

The Task Manager has also been updated, now allowing for CPU utilization calculation with standard metrics. This will provide a more consistent visualization aligned with third-party tools. Furthermore, improvements have been made to access widgets, giving developers the ability to create dynamic and interactive widgets within the Windows 11 interface.

In addition to these new features, the update addresses various fixes that improve system reliability, as well as the behavior of screen settings and authentication processes. In particular, an issue where boot menus could display non-functional entries after updates were rolled back has been fixed.

This update will be gradually rolled out, with availability varying depending on individual devices and configurations. Microsoft remains committed to optimizing and continuously improving the Windows 11 experience, taking into account feedback from its wide Insider community.
