The Social Economy and Care sector has received a significant boost thanks to an injection of 3.6 million euros, aimed at promoting the creation of Sectorial Data Spaces. This investment comes from the recent call for proposals promoted by the Ministry for Digital Transformation and the Civil Service, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan. The final resolution of this call was published on November 15, 2024.
In total, seven significant initiatives have been approved, which will finance 89 projects until December 31, 2025. The main objective of these efforts is to strengthen the digitization of a sector that must adapt to the growing technological demands of today. The projects not only represent a necessary economic contribution but will also facilitate the creation of demonstrators and use cases of Data Sharing Spaces, in line with the Strategic Project for Economic Recovery and Transformation of the Social Economy and Care sector.
This strategic axis seeks to modernize productive sectors by promoting efficiency and innovation through the secure exchange of information and data. The digitization of the Social Economy and Care sector is seen as essential to improve coordination and efficiency in service provision, especially in a context where the demand for specialized care is growing significantly.
With this support, it is expected that the beneficiary entities can lead a deep change in their operations, adapting efficiently to an increasingly digital environment. This progress is considered essential for the transition to a more resilient and robust economy, in line with the sustainability and growth objectives proposed by the Recovery Plan.
