The Marqués de Oliva Foundation has carried out the presentation of the report “50 Ideas to Change the World,” an innovative initiative in Spain that aims to analyze and predict the main global trends that will influence our society until the year 2030. This comprehensive document is the result of collaboration from a wide group of experts and renowned figures in various areas.
Among the most prominent contributors are two Nobel Prize laureates: Christopher Pissarides, awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics in 2010, and Kailash Satyarthi, recognized with the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014. The report was developed in partnership with Prospektiker, a consultancy admired for its work in prospective studies, giving the report a rigorous and forward-looking approach.
The report adopts the STEEP methodology, which covers Social, Technological, Economic, Ecological, and Political aspects, and presents critical analysis accompanied by specific proposals that address key aspects for the future. Topics such as the transition to renewable energy sources, the influence of digital transformation, and the creation of new economic models, such as collaborative economy and circular economy, are discussed in depth.
Furthermore, the document highlights the importance of health and well-being, promotes education that meets the demands of the digital age, and offers suggestions for global governance that can strengthen democracy, leveraging technological tools like blockchain.
Alejandro Suárez, president of the Marqués de Oliva Foundation, points out that this report becomes an invaluable tool for decision-makers who will face significant challenges in the economic, social, and environmental areas. The Foundation has decided to make this document available for free, allowing any interested party to access a strategically relevant analysis for the near future.
