The Castellon-based company APE Grupo is ready to make its international design debut with its first participation in Milan Design Week, one of the most important events in the habitat sector. This exhibition is part of ‘Appartamento Spagnolo’, organized by ICEX under the Interiors from Spain brand, and will take place at the iconic Palazzo Castiglioni.
The exhibition, curated by Elle Decor Italia and designed by the renowned architecture studio Calvi Brambilla, aims to highlight the essence of Spanish design in a setting that simulates a typical home. APE Grupo will present two of its most emblematic collections under the Carmen brand: on one hand, “Three D”, a geometric proposal inspired by art and architecture, and on the other, “Reto”, by Esencia Material, developed in collaboration with the prominent interior designer Erico Navazo. Additionally, the brand Ilbagno will showcase their collection of sinks called London, highlighting the uniqueness and versatility of their products.
The Palazzo Castiglioni, built between 1901 and 1904 and considered a gem of Milanese Liberty style, will provide a sophisticated backdrop for Spanish talent to intertwine with global trends in contemporary design. The exhibition concept by Calvi Brambilla, awarded on numerous occasions, will emphasize the uniqueness of each participating brand and the creativity of their designers.
APE Grupo’s participation in this event solidifies as a fundamental part of their strategy in the ceramic sector, reflecting their strong commitment to innovation and collaboration with relevant designers. The company has positioned design as a key focus in their international expansion plan, and Milan Design Week represents an ideal platform to establish connections with design and architecture professionals.
José Miguel Pellicer, CEO of APE Grupo, emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating that “we not only sell ceramics, we create design. We are trend explorers, ambiance creators, and partners of architects and interior designers looking for more than just a surface.” Pellicer highlights that each collection arises from the fusion of innovation and aesthetics.
Milan Design Week and Salone del Mobile will turn the Lombard capital into a design epicenter every April. ‘Appartamento Spagnolo’ will open its doors from April 7 to 13, 2025, allowing visitors to discover the talent and excellence of Spanish design in a unique setting. The project, driven by ICEX, will be accessible for free, with visits starting at 3:00 PM on the first day and at 10:00 AM for the rest of the week.
Additionally, APE Grupo will organize a private event on April 9 at 8:30 PM in collaboration with the firm Isimar, where the main trends in outdoor furniture will be presented, based on their annual report ‘The New Habitat: how the spaces we inhabit are changing’, a study that has become a reference in the design field.
