MicroVision Achieves TISAX Certification: A Milestone in the Global Automotive Sector

MicroVision, Inc., a recognized company in the field of advanced solutions for mobility and autonomy perception, has reached a significant milestone by successfully completing the TISAX® evaluation through its subsidiary MicroVision GmbH in Germany. This recognition highlights its commitment to the increasing cybersecurity requirements in the automotive industry.

Glen DeVos, Chief Technology Officer of MicroVision, emphasized the importance of meeting cybersecurity standards in the current context of autonomous driving and vehicle connectivity. DeVos pointed out that participation in TISAX provides original equipment manufacturers and tier 1 suppliers with the confidence needed to establish MicroVision as a reliable partner that aligns with the industry’s strict regulations.

TISAX, which stands for “Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange,” is an evaluation and exchange framework specifically designed for the German automotive industry, ensuring that companies meet rigorous information security standards. This assessment system is based on a requirements catalog defined by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) and is aligned with the ISO/IEC 27001 standard.

MicroVision GmbH has implemented various measures to safeguard sensitive and confidential information. After successfully completing the VDA ISA audit process, and thanks to the inspection conducted by Dekra Certification GmbH, the company achieved registration as a TISAX participant. This certification allows them to ensure that they meet the security requirements demanded by their customers in the automotive sector.

The results of MicroVision GmbH’s TISAX evaluation will be exclusively available through the ENX Portal, contributing to transparency and trust in commercial relationships.

To further strengthen customer trust, MicroVision plans to continue operating under the VDA-ISA guidelines and adopt the best technologies in the sector. Based in Redmond, Washington, and Hamburg, Germany, the company aims to offer innovative solutions that enhance security in various industrial applications, including robotics, agriculture, and automotive. Their MEMS-based laser beam scanning technology, combining hardware, software, and advanced algorithms, aims to promote safer mobility in today’s world.

MicroVision is steadfast in its mission to develop advanced solutions that optimize mobility and autonomy, solidifying its position as a key player in the technology sector.
