RE/MAX Spain Celebrates 30 Years in Seville With a Historic Convention

The international network REMAX Spain commemorated its 30th anniversary with a prominent National Convention held at the Hotel Silken Al-Andalus Palace in Seville on April 3 and 4. This event brought together over 600 associates, including agents, brokers, and company personnel, in an environment that encouraged reflection on three decades of history and the future of the real estate sector.

Javier Sierra, president of REMAX Spain, offered a review of the company’s evolution since its arrival in the country, emphasizing significant milestones such as the introduction of an innovative business model focused on agent autonomy and collaboration. Among the highlights mentioned by Sierra are the signing of the first collective agreement for independent real estate agents in 2002, the foundation of the MLS in Spain, and REMAX’s recognition as the leading region in Europe in its sector. The president also highlighted the essential role of brokers and agents in building the brand.

Jaime Suárez, COO of REMAX Spain, focused his intervention on the company’s future strategies, emphasizing the need for technological innovation and continuous training. During the various sessions, past achievements that have set the pace for the network’s growth were discussed, including digitization and the expansion of the agent network.

The event featured a series of presentations by experts in the real estate sector. Jaime Fernández de la Puente spoke about the importance of personal branding; Ignacio Castillo addressed the concept of resilience in the real estate industry, and Emilio Duró closed the presentations with a motivational talk on how to reach one’s full potential.

The convention also highlighted the work of the most outstanding professionals in the network. Jairo Robles was awarded Broker of the Year, while Alberto Válido and Yolanda Martínez were recognized for their performance in the agents category. In the team awards, Team Javier Villalba was recognized as the top earner, and REMAX Jumbo, under the direction of Bernar Jiménez, was proclaimed the number 1 office by revenue volume.

In addition, homage was paid to the REMAX pioneers in Spain, thus strengthening the spirit of camaraderie and collaboration among participants. The ‘Fun Night’, held at the Benito Villamarín Stadium, provided a space for celebration and networking among attendees.

With the prominent representation of REMAX Europe and a clear message about the commitment to the future growth of the sector, the 30th National Convention of REMAX Spain became a key event, where the legacy was celebrated, the present was analyzed, and the foundations were laid for a future full of opportunities.
