On June 30th, the Konecta Foundation and Banco Santander launched a new edition of their Professional Training School at the Aranda Training Center in Madrid. The main objective of this program is to facilitate the job placement of individuals in vulnerable situations, and this time it will involve the participation of over 20 students pre-selected by the Konecta Foundation. Participants will receive training provided by the foundation’s team and by the Human Capital departments of both organizations.
Since its inception, the school has trained more than 105 individuals, achieving a notable job placement rate of 85%. In this edition, students will have access to a training itinerary divided into two blocks: one focused on sales techniques and digital skills, and another centered on specific training about Banco Santander’s products and processes. Complementary activities will include coaching sessions, office software training, and motivational talks by alumni.
The new participants are scheduled to start their positions in the customer service sector on August 25th, an area that currently requires trained professionals. Graciela de la Morena, director of the Konecta Foundation, emphasized the importance of collaboration between the business sector and the nonprofit sector, stating that projects like this provide effective tools to those who need them most.
Juan Carlos Andaranz, Customer Director of Konecta in Spain, highlighted the significant role of Banco Santander in this initiative. Meanwhile, Gregorio Pantoja, Director of Digital Sales & Service at Banco Santander Spain, noted that training not only transforms lives but also establishes meaningful human connections between participants and trainers.
The collaboration between both entities, which began in 2021, stands as a model of a high-impact strategic alliance, combining social action, training, and employability.
