Asefave Collaborates with Administrations for an Effective and Transparent Model in Rehabilitation and Energy Efficiency Aid

The Spanish Association of Light Facades and Windows Manufacturers (ASEFAVE) has issued an urgent call to public administrations to avoid repeating past mistakes in the management of the Next Generation European funds. The association highlights the importance of incorporating their expertise into the development of the future National Building Renovation Plan, with the aim of ensuring a more efficient and transparent process.

During the previous management of the European funds, ASEFAVE identified several significant failures, mainly related to a lack of clarity in the procedures and deficiencies in communication. These issues caused frustration among citizens, the industrial sector, and the autonomous communities responsible for implementing these resources.

With the deadline of June 30, 2026, for the execution of the current funds in sight, the association urges not to make the mistakes of the past. ASEFAVE emphasizes that future management should be characterized by transparency and coordination, promoting criteria that truly impact the rehabilitation of buildings and the improvement of energy efficiency.

The association has expressed its willingness to actively collaborate in the development of the National Building Renovation Plan, offering its technical expertise in the field. ASEFAVE argues that it is essential to listen to entities familiar with the sector to achieve the proposed objectives.

Finally, ASEFAVE has declared that it will maintain a vigilant and proactive stance, contributing its experience so that rehabilitation and energy efficiency in Spain become key pillars in improving wellbeing, sustainability, and job creation.
