Schneider Electric Launches Innovative Home Energy Management Features with AI in the Wiser Home App.

Schneider Electric has launched a revamped version of its Wiser Home app, which now includes advanced features powered by artificial intelligence. This development aims to optimize energy management in Spanish households, allowing users to reduce their energy bills by up to 19% without having to change their daily routines.

The new Wiser Home AI enables a smarter use of energy, adapting to user habits. Among the standout innovations is the ability to automatically adjust the charging of electric vehicles to maximize the utilization of solar energy. Additionally, the app provides a clear visualization of energy consumption through the “Statistics” section. It also features the capability to detect the right moment to activate the water heater, ensuring its operation during optimal hours, such as when solar energy is available or during periods of lower consumption.

Other significant features include alerts and personalized recommendations that help users optimize their energy efficiency. The energy management tool, previously known as “Reduce My Bill with AI,” has been rebranded as “Wiser Home AI” to reflect its evolution towards continuous improvement.

To assess the impact of these functionalities, Schneider Electric conducted simulations in various countries, including Spain. Results indicated that users of Wiser Home AI in a typical four-person household, equipped with a water heater, an electric vehicle charger, and solar panels, could achieve significant savings on their energy costs by analyzing consumption behavior under ideal conditions.

Fernando Vázquez, Vice President of Home & Distribution at Schneider Electric Iberia, emphasized that these improvements not only aim to enhance the user experience but also to promote more reliable energy management. This enables households to make more informed and sustainable decisions. The update of the Wiser Home AI app will be available for free in a trial version throughout the rest of 2025, providing users the opportunity to explore its new features and improve their energy consumption.
