DEKRA, the global leader in vehicle inspection services, has expanded its network in Spain with the recent acquisition of a new Vehicle Technical Inspection (ITV) station in Paracuellos de Jarama, north of Madrid. This initiative is part of its strategic plan for expansion, reaffirming its commitment to road safety, sustainable mobility, and technological innovation.
The new station, located at Camino Viejo de Cobeña, 36, has two inspection lines adapted to serve various types of vehicles. In addition to expanding its infrastructure, DEKRA has decided to maintain local employment by integrating the fourteen professionals who worked at the station before the acquisition into its team.
This move is part of a broader plan that includes investments aimed at strengthening DEKRA’s presence in key communities in the country. In 2024, the company reported an increase in its sales in Spain, reaching 88 million euros, a figure driven mainly by growth in technical vehicle inspection and its technological services. Globally, DEKRA has more than 48,000 employees in 60 countries and carries out over 30 million ITV inspections annually.
The new center in Paracuellos de Jarama will offer services to drivers in this locality and the Henares Corridor, continuing the mission of providing quality service. In addition, the station will be integrated into DEKRA’s digital ecosystem, using advanced technological tools to optimize the user experience and improve operational efficiency. This includes solutions for appointment management, data traceability, and inspection of electric and hybrid vehicles, aligning with DEKRA’s vision of offering a safer, cleaner, and more connected ITV service.
Josu Otín, Director of DEKRA ITV, has expressed that this operation reflects the company’s confidence in the Spanish market and its strong commitment to road safety and sustainable mobility. DEKRA aspires to continue growing responsibly, combining talent, technology, and sustainability to offer drivers a more agile and efficient service.
With this acquisition, DEKRA continues to advance towards its goal of establishing itself as one of the main ITV operators in Spain, strengthening its network through new openings and acquisitions, and consolidating its role as a trusted partner for drivers, companies, and administrations in the fields of inspection, certification, and technological safety.
