Alaia Development and Desert Lakes LLC have presented an ambitious project that promises to revolutionize recreational offerings in Utah: ZION SHORES, an indoor surfing destination located in Washington. This innovative complex, designed for both beginner and experienced surfers, aims to provide a family-friendly environment where surfing takes center stage.
After years of research and collaboration with relevant authorities, ZION SHORES is projected to be a hub in southern Utah, where responsible and sustainable water use will be prioritized. The surf lagoons that will be part of the project will be supplied with non-potable saltwater, a resource that, although costly to treat, becomes a safe medium for recreational activities through appropriate chemical processes. This initiative not only ensures water availability for surfing, but also contributes to the utilization of resources that would otherwise not be useful for human consumption or agriculture.
The development will include 65 short-term rental properties, spread around two lagoons specifically designed for surfing and other water activities. Owners and their tenants will enjoy priority access to the waves, while the general public will have the opportunity to experience the facilities through a reservation system. Additionally, plans include the construction of several restaurants, a commercial space covering approximately 27,700 square meters, and a community club with panoramic views of the lagoons, all with the aim of creating a vibrant and dynamic environment.
ZION SHORES will also differentiate itself through the incorporation of advanced wave generation technology. The facility will feature three innovative systems, including PerfectSwell Zion, a 6th generation technology that ensures perfect and exciting waves tailored to all skill levels. Additionally, UNIT Zion Dynamic Wave and UNIT Zion Standing Wave will offer new ways to enjoy surfing, with the ability to generate dynamic and stationary waves.
With this ambitious development, ZION SHORES not only aims to become a reference point for indoor surf enthusiasts but also promises to attract tourists and promote the local economy, positioning itself as a must-visit destination in the region.
