Alucoil: Leader in Sustainability achieving the “Zero Waste” Certification with a 98.83% Score.

ALUCOIL, the Spanish multinational specialized in the manufacturing of advanced aluminum materials, has made an important announcement by obtaining the ‘Zero Waste’ certificate awarded by AENOR, a recognition that underscores its strong commitment to sustainability and responsible waste management. This achievement highlights an impressive valorization rate of 98.83%, indicating that virtually all the waste generated during the production of its LARSON® FR composite panels and LARCORE® aluminum honeycomb core panels have been converted into new raw materials, energy, or reusable products.

The certification represents a significant milestone for ALUCOIL, which seeks to minimize the environmental impact of its operations. With this endorsement, the company not only strengthens its position within the aluminum sector, but also advances in meeting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a special emphasis on SDG 12, which promotes responsible production and consumption, and SDG 13, which addresses climate action.

ALUCOIL’s executives express their pride in this outstanding achievement. “Obtaining this certification with a 98.83% valorization rate is a reflection of the effort, innovation, and commitment of our entire team,” they stated in an official declaration. To achieve this level of valorization, the company has implemented various strategies, including the use of 100% recyclable raw materials, the optimization of internal processes, and collaboration with strategic partners in sustainable waste management. Additionally, they have implemented training programs aimed at raising awareness among all employees about proper waste management.

Looking towards the future, the ALUCOIL team is optimistic about the trends that will influence the sector. “We continue to work with rigor and aim to achieve new sustainability goals, integrating innovations that allow us to continue leading the change towards a cleaner and more environmentally respectful world,” they concluded.

Founded in 1996 in Miranda de Ebro, Burgos, ALUCOIL has evolved to become a benchmark in the manufacturing of innovative aluminum solutions, operating in over 90 countries and with a factory located in Morocco. Through its ongoing efforts towards sustainability, the company positions itself as a leader in an industry where an increasing commitment to environmental protection is demanded.
