An interior in reds and pinks that captivates with wallpaper.

In a quiet and charming corner of Madrid, a house has captured the attention of the interior design community for its bold and harmonious renovation. Transforming a home with a color palette centered around intense reds and soft pinks is no easy task, but Inés López has managed to create a vibrant and welcoming oasis that reflects her taste and personality.

Inés, always drawn to warm colors, found her inspiration on a trip to Marrakech. “I wanted to recreate the warmth and sophistication of Moroccan riads, but with a contemporary vision,” she explains. The result is an interior where different shades of red and pink combine to create a dynamic and serene atmosphere, carefully orchestrated throughout the house. Elegant furniture and a range of textures enrich the visual contrast.

The living room stands out particularly in this fusion of styles. A pale pink velvet sofa takes center stage, on top of a Persian rug in terracotta tones that extends warmth to the floor. Burgundy curtains filter natural light, flooding the space with a comfortable and enveloping glow.

Inés’ boldest and most successful decision was undoubtedly the wallpaper. Inspired by mid-century designs, the patterns not only decorate the walls but also cover the ceilings, creating an immersive atmosphere. Hand-painted flowers give the rooms a unique personality, with each space telling its own story.

In the dining room, the pink wallpaper with golden details evokes the elegant European tea rooms, complemented by a sturdy dark wood table and vintage chairs in a deep red, creating a surprising contrast.

“The key was finding a balance,” says Inés. “Colors can be overwhelming, but with sober furniture and good wallpaper, we achieved an environment where the family loves to spend time.”

This project has proven to be a success, not only for its style but for creating a space that works harmoniously for the whole family. Inspired by this transformation, neighbors are already turning to Inés for advice, convinced that they have found a new reference point for style and hospitality right on their street.
