Announcement of the Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26200.5670 in the Dev Channel.

Microsoft has released a new update for members of the Windows Insider program, introducing the Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26200.5670 in the development channel. This update brings important improvements and fixes across various areas of the operating system.

One of the most notable features is the enhancement in passwordless authentication, achieved through a collaboration with 1Password. This integration allows users to easily set up their credential manager and use “passkeys.” To access this functionality, users need to install the beta version of 1Password on Windows 11 devices, enable the credential manager in settings, and validate their identity using Windows Hello.

Additionally, the operating system now identifies itself as version 25H2, indicating that it corresponds to this year’s annual feature update for Windows 11. Among the adjustments made, it’s noted that voice access has temporarily disabled support for the Japanese language to improve system stability.

This update also addresses various bugs, such as unexpected crashes of File Explorer and issues with the Start menu, significantly enhancing the user experience. However, users should be aware of some known issues. The new Start menu has glitches when using touchscreens, and a reported issue with Xbox drivers could cause disconnections.

Finally, Microsoft encourages users to enable the toggle to receive the latest updates. The company continues to work on developing its operating system, and some of the changes being tested may not make it to the final version, depending on the feedback they receive.
