Microsoft has recently released the new version of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 27868, which is now available in the Canary Channel for users participating in the Insider program. This update brings several new features and fixes aimed at enhancing the user experience.
Among the most significant improvements is voice access, which now offers an immersive experience. This feature is designed to introduce new capabilities and optimizations, allowing users to explore and learn about updates in this area. Users can enable or disable this option through their system’s settings menu.
The update also includes fixes that address various issues. A problem that hindered the proper functioning of stylus input on certain devices has been resolved, which in turn affected touch interaction. Additionally, efforts have been made to mitigate issues that caused some applications, such as Spotify, to not launch correctly or to fail during installation from the Microsoft Store. Moreover, bugs in the Group Policy Editor and others that caused error screens in previous versions have been corrected.
However, users should be aware that this update presents some known issues. A relevant notice for owners of PCs with Copilot+ is that switching to the Canary Channel will temporarily remove the option to log in using Windows Hello. There have also been reports of problems in the taskbar, which does not display acrylic materials, and some high-quality audio devices have encountered sound quality issues.
For those participating in the Insider program, it’s important to remember that the versions available in the Canary Channel reflect the latest changes in the platform, and features included in them may not be officially released. Participants have the opportunity to influence the development of the operating system through their feedback and suggestions.
If any user decides to leave the Canary Channel, a clean installation of Windows 11 will be necessary. In the meantime, Microsoft continues to work on improving the quality and functionality of its operating system, relying on feedback provided by the Insider community.
