The Association for Management Progress (APD) celebrated its 25th anniversary in Catalonia with a significant event that took place on October 30 at the L’Illa Auditorium in Barcelona. This commemoration brought together prominent business leaders and institutional representatives under the slogan “One Community. One Legacy. A Shared Future,” highlighting APD’s trajectory and impact on business development and talent training in the region.
Since its founding, APD has been a pioneer in organizing more than 3,000 training and networking activities, successfully bringing together thousands of executives with the aim of fostering knowledge and collaboration. Emma Gómez, the General Director of APD, emphasized the importance of this community, stating that “APD is an organization in constant transformation, committed to practical knowledge and transformative experiences.” In this context, she underscored that networking is fundamental, facilitating not only knowledge acquisition but also the establishment of meaningful relationships among business leaders.
Meanwhile, Edgar González, the director of APD in Catalonia, highlighted the impact of the slogan “Knowledge Connects,” mentioning that 80% of professional relationships are formed at networking events, an aspect that APD actively promotes. The day featured presentations from esteemed speakers such as Mónica Mendoza, a journalist and sales expert; Álex Txikon, an alpinist with several eight-thousanders to his credit; and Emilio Duró, an entrepreneur and speaker. These speakers addressed topics such as personal and professional growth, leadership, and motivation in complex business environments.
The event concluded with a networking cocktail that provided attendees the opportunity to strengthen ties and share experiences in a relaxed and festive atmosphere. This 25th anniversary celebration of APD in Catalonia not only marks a milestone in its history but also reflects its ongoing commitment to quality training and leadership development in the business field.
