The Spanish chain Canel Rolls has opened its eleventh establishment in the Las Tablas neighborhood of Madrid, specifically on Paseo de San Millán de la Cogolla, corner with Ages street. This opening is part of an expansion strategy that aims to consolidate the brand’s presence in one of the fastest growing areas of the capital. Since its foundation in 1998, this franchise, which is part of the Inversiones Venespor restaurant group, has positioned itself as the only chain in Spain focused on the Cinnamon Coffee & Roll segment.
The new location has an area of 60 m² and a capacity to accommodate 60 people, offering a cozy atmosphere ideal for family gatherings and informal meetings. Canel Rolls is known for its famous Cinnamon Rolls, made with a secret recipe that uses high-quality ingredients, such as authentic Ceylon cinnamon. This combination has earned them the recognition as “Masters of Cinnamon”. However, their gastronomic offer is not limited to these popular rolls; it also includes sandwiches, smoothies, natural juices, croissants, cakes, and cookies, ensuring a complete experience for all palates.
With this recent opening, the chain aligns with its ambitious plan to reach a total of 60 establishments in the next five years, through a mixed expansion model that combines owned and franchised locations. The Community of Madrid is a priority in this strategy, although new openings are also planned along the Mediterranean coast and in nearby provinces.
To facilitate this growth, Canel Rolls has implemented a new establishment design that highlights sustainability and optimizes investment, positioning it as one of the most competitive options in the sector. With a commercial margin of 75% on the product’s sale value, the average investment recovery period has been reduced to 18 months, which is attractive to new entrepreneurs interested in joining the franchise.
The venue has a modern and cozy aesthetic, with neutral tones and accents in bright colors. Its dark facade, adorned with golden details, reflects the brand’s visual identity, while large windows allow passersby to observe the interior, where an illuminated pennant stands out that reads: “Where the good vibes are born”.
In addition, Inversiones Venespor plans to build a new corporate headquarters on a 5,300 m² plot in the Matillas Industrial Estate, in Alcalá de Henares. This facility will include an automated factory, warehouses, and central kitchens, allowing the company to maintain competitive pricing policies without compromising quality and innovation.
Since its founding in 1999, Canel Rolls has experienced significant growth under the umbrella of Inversiones Venespor, which currently operates 23 Canel Rolls and La Rollerie establishments. The company relies on a team of over 200 professionals with two decades of experience in the sector, providing support in areas such as expansion, training, research and development, franchisee assistance, marketing, and human resources.
