Catia Jorge Assumes the Role of New General Manager at Sadot Group Inc.

Sadot Group Inc. has announced a significant change in its management structure by appointing Catia Jorge as the new CEO, effective immediately. This decision comes in a strategic context for the company, which is seeking to expand its platform globally at a crucial time for the agri-food industry.

Catia Jorge, who has nearly 30 years of experience in the sector, has held important roles in commodity trading and operational leadership within agricultural markets. Prior to joining Sadot Group, she served as National Director for Brazil and Vice President for Latin America at Olam Agri, managing an annual revenue portfolio exceeding $1 billion. Her background also includes a tenure at Cargill Agricultural South America, where she led the export of over 7 million metric tons of grain annually.

Kevin Mohan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sadot Group, expressed his satisfaction with Jorge’s appointment, stating that her experience in agricultural markets and leadership skills are precisely what the company needs to propel its growth. According to Mohan, the time that Sadot has invested in building a solid foundation over the past two years will now be enhanced by Jorge’s leadership.

Jorge, for her part, expressed her excitement in joining Sadot at what she considers an exciting time. She affirmed that the company is well positioned to capitalize on opportunities in the global food sector and announced her intention to implement a growth plan focused on significantly increasing revenue and profitability, while optimizing internal operations.

The new CEO assumes the position following the departure of Michael Roper, who will now serve as Director of Governance and Compliance. Roper expressed pride in the accomplishments achieved during his tenure and his desire to support Jorge in this new chapter.

With an academic background that includes a master’s degree in Agribusiness from Kansas State University and another in Global Commerce from the University of Dallas, Catia Jorge presents herself as a highly qualified candidate to lead Sadot in its expansion process.

Sadot Group Inc.’s headquarters in Burleson, Texas, has established itself as an emerging player in the food supply chain, sustainably addressing the challenges of global food security. The company is dedicated to connecting producers and consumers globally, distributing agri-food products from America, Africa, and the Black Sea to markets in Southeast Asia, China, as well as the Middle East and North Africa.
